The hill-top of Cerro Pui-Pinos is the setting for this 12th-13th C. castle, convent, the natural defence of the town, with splendid views over the Maestrazgo. It features Gothic walls, a plateresque tomb, an Aragonese palace and a baroque façade. Soft, orange shades dominate in the inner rooms, with wooden beams and furniture, such as in the dining room, where you can try Alcañiz eggs, "ternasco asado" (roast young lamb) and typical sweets: Alma and almond tarts. Activities: Bungee jumping, Parapente, Canoeing, Sailing, Windsurfing, Rowing, 4 x 4 routes, Mountain routes, Swimming. Visits: Alcañiz, El Tambor route, El Matarraña route, El Maestrazgo route.
